Default A Culinary Two Wheeled Adventure...

HI... to you all...
38 years later into the Culinary field, the past 16 as a Personal Chef in Naple, Florida, (www.PersonalChefAra.com) my two passions are stronger than ever.
The first one being cooking has rewarded me with of many "inner satisfying" moments, play time in many beautiful and expensive kitchens, a no food cost analysis situation with my various clients has also enabled me to "go all out" on so many occasions.
My second passion is touring on a Motorcycle (BMW GS1100)... Having had the luxury to take long vacations in the summer I have just finished a 27000 mile trip that I started June 1st... British Columbia, WY, Co, UT... you name it... not the first one and not the last... I always cook my Breakfast and Dinner by the way... MSR Dragon Fly is an awsome stove!!!
I have had a set back this past January... my only child, Lance, 25, passed away due to Liver Cancer... has been a struggle these past two years and the ramifications are more intense than I had ever imagined it could be.
The "innner pain" has been deep and only because of "true friends" have I been able to "surmount" the situation.
But I cannot sit still and would like to combine my travellings with my cooking... My thoughts are to get on the road and meet up with whoever on this board (and maybe other ones also) that might be interested in learning first hand to spend a week, 2 weeks... whatever it takes, together "teaching" the Culinary Art... one on one or up to 6 students on your premises...
I have too much in me, too much knowledge I feel not to pass it on... I have been helped all my life by others. Yes, I would abandon, set aside, most of my clients here and teach...
I would strictly do this for room and board and donations... The object is to pass on the knowledge, meet some awsome people and experience the days with some of you's...
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...
Be well... and thanks in advance for your attention...

Welcome to Chef Talk, Chef Ara. First my condolences for the loss of your son. That must be very difficult to live with. You do sound like someone who's decided to take life by the horns and go for it.

As you have probably discovered, we have a number of personal chefs here and a number of people who teach culinary arts. You'll be in good company! Please make yourself comfortable and enjoy all this site has to offer.

Regards,
Mezzaluna

Thank you Mezzaluna... that was very nice of you to write your reply and I appreciate it...
Teaching IS a direction that I would like to get into... would be a shame not to pass on all "those" little secrets!
I am going to "utilize" all the Food Forums and Mtorcycle Forums to get going... will see what happens...
Be well...
Ara
