| I found this forum and it seems interesting. Also, I saw that your gardening forum could use a few pointers - check it out if you like gardening and want to boost soil productivity. Food has been up on my list with hiking and camping. This fall's interest included photography, and that led to learning how to collect mushrooms. Now I find myself cooking those weekly since I drive to the coast almost weekly. You may have noticed the album in my signature. I wish I knew the violet corts were edible when I first saw them. There were many of them. But once I got a positive ID, the season fizzled out. Chanterelles have been the easiest to find this year.

| Thank-you. Next summer - fall, I'm interested in trying to find a little mushroom called Garlic Marasmius (Marasmius scorodonius). The books The New Savory Wild Mushroom and the National Audobon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms mention that Garlic Marasmius can be used as a condiment. Apparently it smells and tasted like garlic.
