Pierre is on a distinguished road
Default hello y'all

hi everyone.
i just found this site a week ago or so while doing a recipe search for some new ideas for salmon. (i'll be posting about that in the recipes section soon) i really like the sharing of knowledge and experience by all the cooking enthusists here. i hope to be able to share what i can.

my food interests include buying fresh seasonal ingredients at the farmer's market and preparing fresh seafood from the ocean. no store bought or farm-raised fish is ever allowed in my kitchen, ever! i have had the pleasure of living is some of the best food cities in the country and i like to try to recreate meals in my apt kitchen. i don't do much baking/pastry stuff, i like to fire up the grill, i pressure-can my own tuna, have a small herb garden to pick from, and like to invite others over to share in my efforts.

Okay, Pierre, I have market envy. You live where the food shopping is fabulous! True, there are some charms here, but you've got it good. What are some of your favorite items to prepare?

Make yourself at home. Regards,
Mezzaluna

thanks for the welcome ML. the quality of food here in the bay area is definely not lacking. right now the asparagus is prime and i've been enjoying that with the fresh caught salmon that's coming out of the pacific. outstanding! i prepare alot of fresh fish and also like to put a good ny strip on the grill. i grew up in new orleans, so a big bowl of grits on a cold summer night isn't uncommon. les es le bon temps roulette!

i've been getting alot of good ideas in the recipe forum and looking forward to giving them a try.
