| New to the forums, and hoping to become an active member. For the basics. I'm a 21 year old university student in Toronto, Canada. I'm currently studying Physics and Mathematics and after graduation I plan to attend a culinary school. My earliest memory of my exposure to cooking was at age 9 when I religiously watched a cooking show called Urban Peasent hosted by James Barber. At age 11 I started replicating simple resturant dishes. My love of food and cooking has only grown since. My first signature dish: Rack of Lamb served with a sweet mint gravy. My favourite tools: 10" french skillet and my 8" Henckles Chef Knife (soon to be retired and replaced). So just saying hello!

| Hey, Afterthought- nice to meet you. I remember watching The Urban Peasant on public television in the '80s, I think. I enjoyed the show too. If you're headed for culinary school, don't miss the students' forum here. Also, the articles, reviews and features at ChefTalk will add to your knowledge and enjoyment of the culinary world. Welcome! Mezzaluna
