Default hello from a basic cook

I'm always looking for simple but very flavourful food ideas. The more ingredients, the less likely I'll try it. I use virgin olive oil and/or butter. Herbs growing on kitchen window sill are flat leaf parsley, thyme and rosemary. And I have a few questions which I'll ask at another time. I'm looking forward to reading all the information on this site!

Nice to meet you! You'll find tons of great information here and meet knowledgeable people. Right now we have a conversation going with food scientist Harold McGee. He writes in plain English and has information for you as well as for professionals.

You'll note that we have several links at the top of the page next to our logo. Be sure to check them out! If you use our "search" button, you can locate previous converstations on topics you're eager to know about.

Welcome!
