Hi, my name is Anders and I am a Swede living in the East-Bay in the bayarea. I lived here for 9 years soon (times flies..) and I been interested in cooking since I was a small kid. Would be great to find a group of people here locally that are also interested and want to create a cooking club together. I am also passionate about wine.

Välkommen! We hope you enjoy this site. We have forums on many topics as well as articles, reviews and recipes. Use the search feature to find threads on topics we've discussed in the past, because there's a lot of great information here.

I've visited your homeland and find it remarkably similar in geography to my state of Wisconsin. I guess that explains why so many Swedes (as well as Danes, Norweigans and Finns) moved here. I grew up where steel was made into plows and other farm machinery; many Swedes had come to the area because they were skilled in metalworking. (I'm speaking of Moline, Illinois.)
