Hmm New home business

I wanted to start a catering business , and right now I wanted to start it out of my home... simply to see if it can do well before investing too deep.
Has anyone done this out of their home?
I have looked into business insurance right off the bat, but I really wanted to avoid all the goverment process until I know where this is headed.
Any advice out there?

Try posting your request for information there, but I suggest first doing a search in that forum, as some of your questions undoubtedly came up in earlier threads. Just use the search button and type in a word or short phrase; you may need to focus your search by refining it a bit, but that's a good place to start.
