Smile Hi everyone! This is my first post.

I have been cooking since I could reach the stove, but have only been doing this professionally for about 3 years (4 including culinary program). I am always looking for input and love getting opinions from "fresh eyes" when struggling with a problem. I hope to get great advice and hope I have some to offer as well. I currently manage a kitchen and cook for a small retirement home for "independent" elderly. Oh, and if you can't guess by the length of this post I love to talk almost as much as I love to cook!

Hi Iggy..welcome. Sure institutional cooking for elderly folks got its own little set of issues. Just got the senor warden sprung from a full fledged resthome and I tell ya that food was pure slop which be fortunant if the hawgs would eat it. Know you cook for them idependent eldery much mo betta
