I was a frequent visiter to the ChefTalk forums many, many moons ago. I'm back now and looking forward to re-joining the community.

I'm a career-changer. Prior to attending pastry school I ran a small childrens' book club and prior to that held more (and more different) administrative positions than I care to reveal. After finishing the French Pastry School's 24-week program and then a coveted 6-month internship at the school, I've landed at a small, up-scale hotel in downtown Chicago. The job lacks some of aspects I really enjoyed about working with pastry in a small restaurant (passion & enthusiasm, mainly), but I am learning a great deal about management and organization and continue to improve my general skills as well.
