Default Hello all....

As I've had some referral questions regarding my business after M. Brown mentioned my name, I've decided to take the leap and join in the fun here.
I'm a gumpaste floral artisan living on Long Island.
After 30 years in corporate america, I decided to make a major change in my life and do something more artistic and NON-corporate. Three years ago, I started learning about cake decoration and fell in love with making gumpaste flowers.
Now, I have my own business making gumpaste flowers.

I attended Long Island Culinary Academy for baking and pastry and decided baking professionally is just not for me, but I love reading and learning about the business, and do enjoy baking the occasional cake.
I've been enjoying the posts on ChefTalk and look forward to being part of the community.
