Hello,

I am an "at home" cook who loves watching the food disappear with loving sounds of gratitude. I mostly learned to cook from watching my mother and grandmother as a child and learning from friends as I grew older. I enjoy trying new recipes but feel a bit overwhelmed when I don't quite understand where something went wrong or where to seek help when that happens. I have a stained white tablecloth which I refer to it as "My Memory Maker" because each stain represents a wonderful memory when my table was filled with loved ones enjoying meals I've prepared. I hope to write out the stories of how each stain came to be and pass it down someday as a part of our family's mealtime history.

All in all, I want to learn, practice and keep making wonderful recipes.

We're happy to welcome you here, Mjd! I'm a home cook like you who learned from good home cooks who preceded her. Like you (and many Chef Talk members) we love to learn from others.
