Talking Hello from Oklahoma

I stumbled across this site while looking for containers to begin a program for cooking for a day out of the month and then freezing meals for the rest of the month. I am a busy mom and am looking for good healthy meals that will freeze and reheat and still be as good as the first time. I am also wanting to start or join a group of people in the Ponca City area that would like to do the same and swap out meals.

Hello Llcarter and welcome to Chef Talk. If it's recipes you're after, we have them! You'll note we have a recipes link at the top of the page and also a Recipes Forum. You can search the site with our search tool for recipes with particular ingredients, by name, etc. You'll get a list of conversations (threads) which contain the words you searched for.

You can also post a request for a recipe in the Recipes forum; take a look at the Food and Cooking Discussons Forum. Our members include many skilled chefs and also home cooks like you and I. I've done some "cook ahead" cooking for my husband and me, but also for relatives when there was illness. I recently needed to cook some meals for my mother-in-law. I went to a deli department in the grocery store and they sold me some microwaveable containers in which I could freeze meals like chicken marsala, chicken picatta and chicken tetrazzini. I was about to look for some new recipes for her when I was sidetracked by a health crisis myself. I'm recovering and spending some time looking for recipes for her delicate digestion.

I know I've gone into some detail here in the Welcome Forum (which is reserved for introductions) but we you can continue this discussion with a broader section of our community by posting your request in the Recipes forum.

I'm sure you'll get some great ideas!
Regards,
Mezzaluna
