Default Home cook from NY

Hello Everybody,
I'm really happy I found this forum. I live in Queens, NY and I love to cook. I have no formal training however, but at 32 yrs old I am considering a career change. I've always been passionate about food. I know it's gonna be hard, especially at my age, but I'm up for the challenge. I just want to do something I love and who knows which direction it'll take me. I'm here to get some insight from all of you, some opinions and maybe some direction. But most of all I'm here because I love food and cooking. Take care all.

Welcome to Chef Talk, Nicky! We're glad you found us, too. One reason this place is so great is because of member participation in the forums. We hope you'll browse through them (including the culinary students/culinary schools forum) and use the search feature to take a look at earlier discussions on career change, etc. There's information to be gained and fun to be had!

Visit often to learn and share. We'll look forward to your posts.
Regards,
Mezzaluna
