Lightbulb Salutations

Hello all

My name is Mike and I am an aspiring chef/at home cook/sales person/dad/husband/computer geek. I don't see a smilie for that so I just grabbed the one with the toque. I actually work with some of the best chefs in the states but I only really work with them on their uniform needs. I work at Chefwear as an Account Manager/Sales Person.

I have always wanted to be a chef so this is sort of a compromise for me. It allows me to stay close to the culinary scene and network before I dive in full on. It also affords me enough money as starting out chefs don't make a whole lot which would be fine for me but my kids and my wife have a certain lifestyle-to which they are accustomed-kind of situation.

I am always willing to help anyone with questions related to any subject and I always want to try recipes so please share your favorites and suggestions.

Ciao.

Hi Mike! Welcome to Chef Talk. Your company's products have had some notice here, so Chefwear is familiar. Don't take Panini too seriously...

This is the best place on the web to network with people in all facets of the culinary world, including many home cooks like you and me. Browse around, enjoy the articles, and don't miss out on the fun. If you don't find the fun right away, just ask Panini; he's sure to be there!

We hope you visit often to learn and participate.
Regards,
Mezzaluna

Panini - I have no idea where your order is. Are you the pink and white hounds-tooth custom jacket with day-glow barbie pink neck ribbon that we burned as soon as it was made? If so I am sorry you will get a credit back...

Mezzaluna - Thanks for the welcome. I don't want to talk too much about Chefwear but if anyone has questions I am happy to answer or quote up a deal or what have you. I didn't join this forum to hawk my wares though so don't expect any sales pitch threads or "looks at what's new" etc. I have belonged to other forums where some people's sole contribution was their sales and marketing spiel and thought it was in bad taste.

That said it's great to be here.

Mike, I got that low-key vibe from you about your work right away. Thank you for being considerate in that way!

Now dive in and enjoy yourself here!
