Hello everyone,

I am a Canuck(Toronto) who has move to Shanghai to live and work as a chef. Currently I am starting a catering business and personal chef service.
I've worked in Shanghai going on 3 years. Please feel free to ask anything about working in China, the lifestyle, culinary scene, computers, internet podcasting.

Hello Ignatius and welcome to Chef Talk! You're going to love it here. I have friends living in Shanghai for the husband's work, and enjoy hearing about it all from the wife through her blog. She tells me there's amazement to be found almost every day.

Welcome to the forum. Wow....Shangai. That must be such a change from Toronto. Are there many street vendors selling food there? I know nothing about Shangai and am curious about the food. Care to share?
