my name is stephanie and i am currently a senior in high school. I have loved cooking since i was very young and i am now strongly considering a carrier in culinary arts. If anyone has some good in sight into this field and would like to share it with me i would greatly appriciate it.

Hello Stephanie and welcome to Chef Talk! I'm also a Wisconsinite. We have good culinary programs in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area in the technical colleges. I'm not sure about other areas of the state but you should be able to connect with them through your school's guidance office. (I'm a retired teacher ) They should also be able to help you connect with culinary schools in other states.

What about the field draws you? Are you more of a pastry person or more interested in the savory side of the kitchen?

We hope you enjoy browsing the board and checking out the cooking articles, cookbook reviews and recipes as well as the forums. There are many helpful professionals here- some of them are culinary instructors. A lot of us are home cooks like you and I.
