| Happy New Year!! I have owned a deli in the washington dc metro area for almost 7 years. We are located in a residential neighborhood and most of our customers are residents and the local businesses. We do catering but not as much as I would like. Our website is maintained by my cousin whom I bought the business from. He has a deli in downtown dc which caters to business. What I am trying to do is cater to the residents. Holiday parties, christening, communion, etc and am trying to put together a delicious catering brochure. What types of food can I prepare easily and will stay nice in chafing dishes that will appeal to all pocketbooks? We also are getting into the cake business. Since there is no real bakery around everyone goes to the local supermarket and we all know how those taste. I would like any and all suggestions out there...Thanks all!! |

| BGilette, we're glad you found us. We hope you enjoy browsing around and taking full advantage of the conversation threads, cooking articles, etc. that we have here. One question though- your profile says you're a home cook. I think there's a better designation for someone who runs a food business and has sparkling aspirations as you do! ![]() We hope you visit often! We'll look forward to your participation. Mezzaluna
