Hi everyone,
I am a returning member, but I have a new user name because it has been soooo long since I was able to visit, that I have since changed my e-mail and I can't recall my prior user name.
My story?: I owned a small cafe' & catering co for about 10 years, I was sole owner, did well, won awards, got large contracts, started feeling secure and I actually had time now and then to visit here.
Then I thought I would upgrade, bought a building, 7000 sq ft., spent 9 months with my Husband remodeling, hard wood floors, tin ceiling etc... the kitchen of my DREAMS! (2800 sq ft) long story, short, beautiful building, food was written up in local papers as outstanding, the town was too small to support the business. 6 days off in the entire year, back & forth between both of my restaurants (2 different cities) and catering contracts, the cafe' was closed, the building was sold, the equipment was put into storage, I went to Le Cordon Bleu and took the P&B program and now I am at it again, opening another place, still have catering contracts and I am going to take it one step at a time.
Wow! that was probably more info then you care to know.
I look forward to many happy hours in these forums!
Joan

Welcome back, Joan! Take some time to reacquaint yourself with the board, the cooking articles, cookbook reviews and recipes. You'll find some familiar faces here, I'm sure.

Your story and your journey will be helpful to others, I'm sure. Experiences can bring wisdom.

We hope to see you here as often as your busy life allows.
Regards,
Mezzaluna
