Welcome, jjnyc!

I hope when you find that recipe, you'll let us know where. It will take you a little time to have enough posts to be able to post a link. So in the meantime just chime in wherever you want to! I see you already did on baklava -- great!

Yasu, and welcome to Chef Talk, jjnyc. As Suzanne noted, you'll be able to post links and photos after a short time as a participant in our community.

In the mean time, we hope you make yourself at home and enjoy the forums, cooking articles, cookbook reviews, recipes and archives.

My mom grew up in a Greek neighborhood; my neighbors in childhood were Greek, too. I fondly remember their Easter lamb on the spit in the back yard this time of year. We shared our Jewish recipes with them and in turn learned to cook wonderful Greek dishes. The neighbors came over (with a few friends) and made 900 tiropitakia for my bat mitzvah celebration and for my three brothers' bar mitzvah shindings too. Greek food was often on our family menu!

We hope you visit often and enjoy participating here! Kali spera,
Mezzaluna
