Default Hey there, Foodies!

Hello everyone! I found this board while googleing some good cookware (my Belgique stuff from my wedding 15 years ago is getting kinda beat up), and pretty much immediately lost my mind while reading. I don't cook for a living, but i'm probably just as obsessive as some of you that do about it. Can't wait to learn some new tricks, and maybe share some of mine.

Welcome to Chef Talk, John! We're happy to greet you and hope that you enjoy all the great things we have here: forums, cooking articles, cookbook reviews, recipes, archives, special guest conversations....! The search tool will help you zero in on topics you don't see on the board right now.

What were you cooking that you wore out your cookware? Do you use local ingredients in your dishes?

I hope we see you here often!
Regards,
Mezzaluna

Oh, the list is endless. I've lived 5 places since I got the set -- Japan, Hawaii, D.C., Washington State, and now Virginia (AKA America's Armpit). So yeah, i've pretty much tried every local ingredient there is, with a heavy emphasis on Mexican and Oriental... and fish.. well, yeah. Just alot of wear and tear. I could have probably got new ones 5 years ago, but I feel like i'm burying an old friend or something.
