Hi Szaftoo and welcome to Chef Talk. Our community is a great place for you (and your teen) to explore cooking at home as well as how he can develop into a professional chef (or food stylist, food chemist, etc.) We have a forum just for culinary students.

But the whole site is great for exploring. I'm a retired middle school (and high school) teacher myself, and I can recommend this site as a very good one for your son. We have some people here who are instructors at high schools and culinary schools (Jim and Cape Chef, for starters). You can direct your son here with confidence. You're encouraged to contact the moderators if you have questions about the site; our names are listed on the right side of the main page.

We have a good search tool to help you cruise around to find earlier conversations on a zillion topics. I hope you and your son visit often! We'll look forward to your posts.

Regards,
Mezzaluna
