| Hey everybody hows it going? My name is Tommy im 20 years old from Long Island, New York but I have been living in Charlotte, North Carolina for the last 4 years. My cuisine of choice by far is Italian. Mainly southern Italian and Sicilian food. Im half Sicilian myself and grew up cook italian food with my mother and grandparents. I start Culinary School monday, im double majoring in Culinary and Restaurant Management. well there was gonna be a link here, but it wont let me lol (link to the school if anyone is intereasted) After I take as many classes as I can I plan to transfer my credits to Johnson and Wales over in Road Island. I wanted to go strait there but I cant afford to go to Johnson and Wales for a full four years. After Culinary school I want to move back to New York and run my own Italian restaurant, probally someware in one of the 5 boroughs. |

| Welcome to the community, Tommy! As you can see we have culinary students and culinary schools forums, so I'm sure you'll want to check those out extensively. We hope you also enjoy the rest of the forums, but don't miss the cooking articles, cookbook reviews, recipes and the photo gallery. We also have a good search tool so you can find your topics quickly. I'm also a person who learned from skilled home cooks. I'll bet the love and care that went into their cooking rubbed off on you (as well as a bit of spicy Sicilian sauce, I'm sure!) as surely as my mom's and grandmother's did on me. Visit often to learn and share! We'll look forward to your participation here. Regards, Mezzaluna

| Welcome to the site Tommy. Every good cook started on Mom and Grandma's apron strings. Mine gave me Irish, Scots and French taste's and then my wonderful wife gave me the spice of Korean. Stay in school and get that paper my friend, it makes all the difference in the world. |

| Hello, My name is John, I joined today when I found the sight, I enjoy cooking very much when I can. At present time I am unemployeed. And thinking about going back into a cooking situation, About 10yrs ago I worked one summer and fall as a breakfast cook but wasn't fast enough to keep up with 450 to 600 breakfasts before 9am and quit. I think i would have done fine if hadn't been the #1 diner the the state of NH. I now live in NC, and enjoy it emmensely. Well, that's enough for now. John |
