Smile Hello from Norway!

Hi,

I am a Norwegian that love to make food. Fish, Rain Deer, Beef, Whale, Wild birds, Pork and Horse (and blood) is my fauverite. I like to make healthy food, as much as I can, but the pure taste is sometimes prefered.

I am not a good chef (at home), just normal. An great evening could be a good glass of whine with a fresh whale beef or Rain deer leafs (cut in small peaces).

Hope to read and learn a lot from you!

Hei og mottakelse til Kokk Samtale ! (Hello and welcome to Chef Talk!) I'm glad you told us what local ingredients you work with. In most parts of the world we don't have access to reindeer or whale, but it's fun to read about how you would use and enjoy them.

Many of us (myself included) are home cooks like you. We can all enjoy this site and participate in its discussions.

I've visited Denmark and Sweden but have not yet been to Norway. My husband has been to Horten twice on business, however, and also visited Oslo while he was there. Your beautiful land is on my 'wish list' of places to see.

Welcome! We hope you visit and participate often.

You really should visit Norway Fantastic fjords - Geiranger:

I have just written a recipe, but the 5 post limit prevents me from entering it, so I have to bump this thread.

What gorgeous photos! I'm certain my husband and I will visit Norway in the future. Unfortunately his work responsibilities prevent it (to say nothing of the very weak dollar these days). I want to see the aurora borealis and a sky with only stars, no light pollution. I think fjord country would be the best place.
