Default Greetings from Southern California

Hello everyone. I'm looking forward to being a part of your community. I've been cooking for 50 years and still enjoy it. To me it's part hobby, part relaxation and part joy at hearing my hubby praise the latest experiment.

Thank you for the introduction, Audrey. You've got a few years on me (not that many, to be honest!), but I share your take on cooking. My husband is my chief audience as well. I've learned not to call it an "experiment" because if he doesn't like it, he'll ask why I didn't follow the recipe! Doesn't happen very often though.

What do you enjoy cooking? Are there ingredients from your part of the world you especially enjoy using, or dishes that are your specialties?

We hope you have a look at the cooking articles, cookbook reviews, recipes, the photo gallery and archives. Use the search tool to help you find what you need; there's a lot here as you'll find out quickly!

Visit and participate often. We'll look forward to seeing you here.

Regards,
Mezzaluna

I do things like canneloni and Caprece salad because dh loves Italian even though he's half Swedish & half Norwegian. I made a killer Artichoke dip last weekend for a potluck appetizer party. I also do a lot of things with chicken and I love to make sauces.
