| Hi Aguaviolet and welcome! We have a pretty good contingent of Chicagoans here, both professionals and eager home cooks. If you're considering a move into a culinary field, be sure to stop in the Culinary Students/Culinary Schools forum and have a look at that angle of entry into the field. Of course, not everyone gets in that way- many start at the ground up in a kitchen (literally, for some ) and learn from seasoned cooks and chefs.
