Default Good afternoon from England

Hello all, just a brief post to introduce myself before going back to lurking
I am a short order, grill and pub cook also a keen home cook. I am here to pick up tips, recipies and advice to broaden my horizons and further my career.
I know you are a friendly bunch and once I get my head round the cultural differences, measurement differences and terminology I'm sure I'll pick up a bunch of ideas.
There is a shortage of such excellent sites in the UK so I'm glad to have the chance to participate here.

Eddie

Welcome to Chef Talk, Eddie! We have a good number of members from the UK here as well as from many countries and every continent- yes, even Antarctica! We try hard to welcome all comers and hope you enjoy all this site and its community have to offer. Don't let the "cultural differences" concern you! We have some informative (and often amusing) conversations about systems of measurement, names for commodities and dishes, etc. It's part of the charm of the place.

I hope you'll visit and participate often, and will look forward to seeing you.

Regards,
Mezzaluna
