Default Hello from Tx.

Hi Everyone, this is my first visit and I hope to be here as often as I can. I love to cook and consider myself quite an accomplished one...if I had to do it all over again I would have gone to culiniary school but that time has passed me by. I just really enjoy almost every aspect of cooking and find new recipes all the time to try. My favorite saying is...Nothing ventured...nothing gained. Just wanted to say hello before I pose a question elsewhere.

Welcome to the group! I just wanted to say to you that its never too late to attend culinary school! I am planning on attending next year an I am turning 40!

Hi Cathey,
Well, I'm 52 and a bit closer to 53 than I would like to admit so I'm afraid that time has passed me by. And because of my business now I am having trouble with my hands. I've had two surgeries this past year and now it looks like I am about to have a third. So I'm not sure that I could keep up with my knife skills. But never the less I'm enjoying what I can, while I can. Where do you live in Tx?

I am just outside of the DFW area.. between Azle and Weatherford in Parker County. Are you in the hill country?
