Default Hi From The Lake District

Hi all, new to the site (obviously) i run a country pub/ restaurant in England's Lake District. i have served my time in the big hotels and was exec chef in Edinburgh before realising life (and more importantly my 6 year old) was more more important. Although the hours are about the same! when i finish cooking i start as a (not very good) barman. hope to chat to you all in the future, Ad

Hello Adrian, and thank you for the introduction. Your location sounds quite pastoral and lovely, and is a destination I expect to visit before too many years go by. What's on your menu?

I hope you are able to visit every chance you get; there's plenty of information to enjoy as well as people to interact with. Please stop in to read and participate whenever your busy life allows. We'll look forward to your posts.

Welcome!

Hello.
Edinburgh's my home city and I love the Lake District, too.

Morningside - and no jokes, please!
Dalkeith - that makes you a teuchter, doesn't it?!!

I was born in Simpson's too.

You must be talking about the Viewforth end of Polwarth, eh?

Have you been home recently? Some really great restaurants around now, including Oloroso (my current favourite).
