Default Hello!

Hello, this may seem a little strange of an introduction but, here it goes.

I am an architecture student and I am designing a house for an "imaginary client" for class. My client is a chef. SO, I am here to learn about what a chef would like in their home.

A little about me: I love food and have been cooking with my family since I was 3. So, I also want to learn more about cooking and food. I either wanted to be an architect or a chef or a baker. I have norwegian and czechoslovakian roots, so east and north european foods are what I am used too. But I dearly love all food, and the spicer the better. I love to bake and I love to cook "old school" meals from norway. But I want to learn so much more.

I'm not sure what else to say. If you want to learn more about me, just drop me a line, or post to this. I hope you all have a nice day and life goes well.

Hello Yum and welcome to Chef Talk. Your background sounds interesting; I'll bet you stood at the elbows of great home cooks to learn about your culinary heritage.

I'm sure you'll get good suggestions from the chefs here, although you may be surprised at the modest kitchens many of them have. Try using the search tool here to enter key words; you may discover earlier conversations about kitchen remodeling, etc. that could be of help.

Enjoy the site and the community.

If I could design my own home (hey, maybe someday I will!), my kitchen would have a LOT of countertop space, many many cabinets, a big gas stove and big sinks. I would use a lot of stainless steel...
