Hello from Texas

I'm new to this site, and hope to become acquainted with the members here. I love learning about all aspects of food & cooking, and I especially enjoy developing skills and passing on what I've learned to others. I go through phases of what interests me most: sometimes baking, sometimes soups, sometimes desserts.

Other passions include photography, making jewelry, family history, etc.

I'm fortunate to live in a city with lots of good restaurants (and even more mediocre ones!) and access to wonderful ingredients. My cooking credentials are strictly as a serious home cook - one who is willing to try anything and is occasionally successful.

I look forward to seeing you on the forums.
