HI THERE FELLOW COOKS

I am glad to find another forum on cooking, it is enjoyable to read other ideas on same subject (FOOD) I have cooked since 12 years old and really enjoy creative food. My first 12 years were on a farm where I did too many chores to have time to cook (just watched mom) I hunt and fish and live in sunny Fla.

Hi Mbearsky- thank you for the intoduction. I see you got your start watching a good home cook. So many of us did! What do you fondly remember from your early cooking days? Any successes or "interesting learning experiences" you'd care to share?

I hope you enjoy browsing the site and participating in the forums. We'll look forward to seeing you often.

Welcome!
Mezzaluna

I was lucky enough to learn to cook the same way, mom, dad, and grandma all included me whenever I asked. Now I'm raising my kids the same way. Noticed your from Fl, I grew up in Titusville.

I am orig from Ugley Cleveland, Ohio We had either rainny or overcast days most of the year. (lake effect) But eventually I had a hunting camp in western Pa where I did most of my cooking. Seems like not many guys could cook in my generation, the wife was a homemaker and cook and men worked for a living. But now in daytona beach we have sun most days of the year. I just love it here but plan to move to stuart area soon for my retirement. We still go back to Ohio and PA every year to enjoy good tomattoes and vegies. I wish I could learn to grow better tomattoes here, all I get is brown leaves as soon as fruit starts to show. I guess I need to find a gardening forum!!
