Default Hello from the North Country, New York

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Bruce and I live and work in the Adirondack region of New York with my wife, Jenn and our dog Baxter.

About one year ago I started my own Personal Chef company after working for restaurants and hotels for about 30 years. I offer many culinary services but have been mainly doing dinner parties and interactive events where my client's guests actually learn and participate in the food preparation. It's alot of fun and it allows me to spend more time with my family. My biggest challenge was the transition from cooking for 300 + ppl to cooking for 10-15 ppl.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I'm sure this forum will be helpful to me and I hope I can be helpful to anyone who may want to draw from my 30+ years of experience.

Hi Lighthaus
Welcome.
How far north in NY are you? Adirondack area?
I just love it up there.
I can relate to your career change as I did something similar after many years in food service. It's always amazing to me as I explore the other reaches of food careers how much there is to be found.

I too loved that area, and too funny since I'm a true dyed in the flesh city girl, until I moved out to the Lake Region of the Poconos, near Liberty, Swan Lake, just a drive over the bridge there..lol
