 Another newbie saying hi Hi all, I have just joined and the forum looks like fun. I am not a professional cook, I am a particle physicist working at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.  Hello Marvin, and welcome to Chef Talk. I think you're right: a lot of technical people enjoy cooking. A good number of our members are in IT or other sciences. My brother-in-law is an atomic physicist who loves to cook and bake too. What are your culinary interests? Have a look around the site; the search tool is helpful in this.
