Hello everyone! This place has an amazing amount of learning tools...thanks for making this site a success! I can't wait to learn!

Hi, My name is Diane. I specialize in the confectionery arts, mainly, cake creations. I belong to ICES which is, "The International Cake Exploration Societe'" I am new here, so this all seems quite unfamiliar. I do welcome you as you are the first person I am writing to. I have two welcomes to offer on this thread it seems.

Welcome, Liz. I'm glad you enjoy the site and hope you'll participate as often as possible. I gather from your profile that you are a home cook rather than a professional chef. We invite you to browse and read all the forums, but please consider the professionals forums as "read only". Home cooks like you and me have all the rest! What are your culinary interests? What are your specialities?

Diane, you are also most welcome. You'll enjoy the pastry forums most, I"m sure, but please have a look at all the forums, the articles, cookbook reviews, recipes and the photo gallery- which has many pastry items to view.

We hope you both enjoy being part of this community!
