Hello from Varda

Hi Everyone,
I am an expatriate American, having lived in Pittsburgh until the age of 18 when moved to Israel. I'm 46, the mother of 12 children and the grandmother of 4. As such, I am no stranger to quantity cooking on a budget!
Most recently, I am writing a cooking column on the effects of weather on food preparation which is carried by the website of a local meteorologist. If this sounds strange, well, I asked our weather guy if he could please include the humidity factor in his forecasts so I'd know if I could attempt meringues and candies on a given day. He knows I like to write and that I'm a foodie, so he asked if I could do a column for the website.
The column is going great, getting just terrific feedback (no pun intended), but I'm concerned about how long I can keep it going. I've done a few columns on the pros and cons of humidity in the kitchen, and I did a nice column about barometric pressure and food prep, but I'll be darned if there's anything left to write about. I can keep writing more stuff on those two topics, I suppose, but I'm hoping someone out there in virtual food land might have some ideas for me.
