Wasted New Member...Hi

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this community. This is my first post. I'm currently a culinary student in Louisville, Ky and I'm looking to hopefully learn some things by browsing this site. I'm a little older ( late 30's) to be going back to school, but I've been in the manufacturing field most of my life. I stayed home with my only child until he started in school about 4 years ago. I decided to follow my dream of doing what I naturally love to do anyway and that is cook and entertain. I'm loving school. Although the first week or two was soo much information, it's so much better now that we're able to cook.

I'm hoping to have a lot of fun in this new community! Thanks for having me!

Wasted Thanks...

Thanks BugHut.. for the encouragement. At first I felt out of place in my culinary classes because I was one of the oldest in there with a bunch of teeny boppers and kids in their early 20's. Now, I'm feeling more a part of the scenery. It's sometime challenging to balance home with school with kids and so forth, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end... Can I ask, what are you doing now? As far as career wise. Did you go to school or are you currently in the food industry? It's nice to hear from you. Thanks for replying...
