Red face Hi from the Fat Lady

This is my first experience with this kind of thing and I am SOOOO excited. I guess I will tell you a little about myself. I am a wife of 37 years, a mother of 4, a mother-in-law to 2 and a grandma to 1 (and 1 on the way). I have loved to cook since I was 9 years old. Currently, I am owner and operator (the cook, the business manager, sometimes the dishwasher, or whatever) of my own very successful catering business in a small rural town in the Ozarks. When we started this venture most people laughed at us (at the time there were 3 of us but the other 2 have since retired). They thought we were crazy and it wouldn't take off. I am crazy. But, those same people who laughed then are now enjoying my cooking whether it is from my catering menu or from the Tea Room we opened 2 1/2 years ago. I also love to decorate cakes. I am still learning but love the challenge. I am doing 2 Busch Stadium 3D groom cakes in a couple of months. It should be interesting because I am a perfectionist. I will do it till I get it right. That should take some long nights. I do almost everything from scratch, including our yeast breads. I am always looking for new recipes to adapt for my catering or tea room menus. I am gluten intolerate. So I have to have other people taste anything new and let me know what needs to be done. It is hard but it seems to work. Well, the kitchen is calling and work needs to be done. See ya! fat lady
