Chef Hello

Hi from NW Ohio, I found this board while Google'ing for recipes. I think it will be very useful to me as I now must learn to cook for myself after 44 years of a loving marriage. I am an appliance repair tech, feel free to ask me any questions about your own kitchen equipment!

Appliance repair tech . . that's pretty close to what I do. I'm a HVAC service tech and do a lot of electrical work. I'm not a pro cook by any stretch but I am a pretty good cook compared to most people in my trade. I also live on my own now since the kids' wife and I couldn't get along.

I might have some suggestions since I have always liked cooking.

I also did most of the "real" cooking when I was with my wife. "Real" meaning other than heating stuff in the microwave. Plus I was a line cook in a restaurant for a while.

Hello Wull! Let me add my greeting to Andy's. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My mom and stepfather were married nearly that long, so I know a bit about how hard that can be.

Besides a great Recipes forum and articles, we also have cooking articles, cookbook reviews, and a photo gallery to enjoy. The search tool will help you find earlier conversations on topics you're interested in.

We hope you visit often to read, learn and to share your knowledge, too. Welcome!
