Hello my name is Eric and I found this forum while googling for some tips. I have been cooking since I was a teenager. Both of my Grandmothers and my mother were excellent cooks and I spent many hours hanging around their kitchens learning how to cook. It came in handy because I was the oldest of four and both my parents worked so I took over kitchen duties until I went into the service. I enjoy most all types of cooking and love to put my own touches on traditional recipes. My passion is my smoker and have been very successful in producing some fine smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork and turkey. I also love to try new types of cuisine. I am looking forward to participating in this forum.

Thanks for the introduction, Eric. Your path to cooking is similar to mine and many, many other Chef Talk members. We're lucky to have had such opportunities so early in life.
