Default Site Performance Problems

I could not find an appropriate place for this topic, so feel free to move it if needed.

I'm wondering if ChefTalk is experiencing server or site software problems lately. For the past couple of weeks, page loading for virtually every area of the site takes a long time...sometimes over a minute. This seems to be a frequent problem that can occur any time of the day and almost every day of the week.

Since I'm on DSL and don't experience these problems with any other sites, I assume it is a hardware or software issue at ChefTalk...or is it just me?

At times I've experienced the same thing, and I have a cable modem. Could it be our browser? I'm using Internet Explorer. Maybe Firefox would be better??

I'll let the administrators know.

The administrators contacted me and told me they're aware of the server issue and are working to get around it. Apparently some cost is involved so it may take a bit of time to be addressed. Thanks for your patience!!

Thanks, good to here they are aware of the problem. FWIW, I'm using Safari on a Mac, so I don't think the browser plays a role.
