Welcome to Chef Talk, Hawg! It sounds like you're a busy person.

We hope you'll take some time to browse around the site. Besides the forums, we have cooking articles, cookbook reviews, recipes, blogs and a photo gallery. There are several professional forums where you can kick around ideas with other professionals in the industry, and also general forums with more topics and a mixed group of pros and home cooks (like me).

What do you like to cook on your time off? Does your name mean you're a Harley rider? Just asking, as I live near the home of the HOGs.

Enjoy the site!

Hi Hawg,
It's nice to see someone my age hanging out here! What prompted you at 53 to start a culinary career?

I don't have any chef friends (yet), but love to cook and put smiles on peoples' faces with a new dish. Last week for the first time I made pistachio crusted halibut - mmm-mmm.
