Default Hello from Upper Michigan

hey guys, I'm Bobby from upper michigan. Yes, if your anywhere me you know the snow never stops coming Anyways, I'm a serious home cook and I hope to be attending culinary school in the fall. Ive come to find and share recipes and cooking experiences.

Yeah, winter doesn't wanna go away here. We just had 2 snow storms within 2 weeks in April. Things were starting to look up but all I see is snow

Hey dere Bobby! Welcome to Chef Talk. Where are you headed for culinary school? What are your interests in the kitchen?

I'd be interested to know what the local favorites are where you live. In northern Wisconsin, there are Scandinavians, Germans and others who've influenced the local cuisines. I think pasties (pronounced "pass-tees" ) might be one dish, as there was a lot of mining in the region. Cornish settlers brought them to western and norther Wisconsin mining regions. Since you're in the same region, I'm curious to know if there's any similarity.
