| Hey all. I found your forums while being bored at work one day browsing for random food related websites (I can't help it, I love food) and thought it was great. I didn't sign up for a few days but have read a ton of threads. I used to be a line cook a few years back at a local restaurant that tanked after I was there about a year. I fell in love with the kitchen and cooking at the time though and have been an avid "at-home" cook ever since. I went into banking just because it was available and kinda got stuck in it, though now I'm seriously considering culinary school. I'm looking forward to posting and reading here more often. Oh, the name was inspired by my first week as a cook in the kitchen. I showed up 4 days in with a crappy Target bought Ginsu and my chef smiled, shook his head, took my knife, and crushed a piece of garlic. Afterwards he held up my knife and it was bent at about a 30 degree angle. I've never bought a knife at Target since. |

| I got a great laugh at your comments. As an ex-Target employee I have to say that it was hilarious!. I am an at home cook for the moment and I am about to start culinary school as well. Thanks for the tip about the knife lol I will make sure that I will only buy my trash bags and laundry soap from them in the future lol. Hope you get to culinary school soon to follow your dreams...Maybe we will get a chance to chat here one day. Have fun! |
