Hi Soulchef! Welcome!!! Do you live anywhere near Emerald Isle. I love that place. Weird story: About 4 years ago my wife and I were staying at a house on Emerald Isle for a few days and went out for dinner one night. Nothing fancy just a local place that was part bar, part restaurant. You know the type. We ate, paid, left, and went out for a few hours before going back to the house. When we got back to the house, I flipped on the t.v. and caught the live action news report that the place we ate at was burning to the ground. The fire started about ten minutes after we left. I just wish I hadn't paid cash.

Mofo1, that was quite a story...it really is too bad you paid cash...probably ended up as burned dough, don't you think?? Thanks for sharing - I'm about an hour away from E. Isle...it is a nice place!

Thanks to all for making me feel welcome on my first day! I look forward to many more conversations with you!

Welcome aboard Cheftalk, SoulChef! I have really enjoyed my membership in this community and I know you will enjoy yours too! I really like things that relate to food and cooking because I am an aspirant to the gourmet world; it was my childhood dream to be a gourmet chef and I have a taste for good food and a passion for cooking! I look forward to seeing your posts on cheftalk!

Afra (and all), I, too, am an aspiring gourmet chef from childhood (I'm hoping to achieve some level in my 2nd childhood!). I've tried cooking school, chef's assistant, personal 'chef-ing', writing, and any other oddball adventure that comes my way. I am PASSIONATE about anything food-related...it's in my soul!!! That's why, I think, meeting all of ya'll here is such a great treat!! I look forward to many, many more exciting interactions!
