Hello everyone,

I ran across this site and thought this looks like a place for me to hang out in. I am a DYI kind of person and have been experimenting in my kitchen for years. My newest adventure is preserving meats. I have just purchased a smoker and hope to spend time enjoying and understanding the finer details of curing, salting, and smoking. I have spent the last 15 years starting with the learning the basics and learning different realms of cooking. Previous and continuing ventures have been baking breads and canning fruits and veggies. I hope to further broaden my horizons.
