Welcome to ChefTalk! Nice to hear from someone from the "old country." My family is from Sweden. We just came here in 1895.

I look forward to reading your posts.

Welcome, Babas! I've stayed in Lund at the University when I took a 5 week course for teachers many years ago. We also visited the glass-making area and many other lovely places. After seeing your part of the world, I understand why so many Swedes felt at home here in Wisconsin and the upper midwest of the USA. It's beautiful! Welcome to the Cafe. We look forward to reading about your culinary adventures.

Welcome Babas... make sure to keep us updated on how things go with you in your career change. I'm almost 30 now and I may just trade computers for the kitchen also.

Welcome Babas,
Did manage 2 visits to Gothenburg some years back.
Was fortunate, last month, to meet up with a Family from Lund attending a Caretakers of the Environment Conference in South Africa.
Do keep us up to date with Swedish Food trends.
