Default Hello from Cobble Hill BC......!

Hello everyone,

My name is Martin. I have had limited professional experience as a line cook and as an owner/operator of a pizza place....9 years total.

I enjoy cooking for myself, my lactose intolerant wife, and my 2 dogs...

(I have become quite an expert at canine nutrition....)

I enjoy preparing human food from almost all ethnic groups, but my comfort foods are the simple ones..... a good steak, fresh seafood, and antipasti.....

Great-now I'm hungry.....I look forward to the new ideas and advice I'll find on this site....

Hello, Martin! Welcome to ChefTalk!! Canine nutrition, huh? That should make for some interesting reading. My dog prefers to eat everything other than dog food, so I look forward to reading your posts.
Again, welcome!
-Jim

Thanks Jim,

This site caught my eye when I was researching home made cheese...

I have made a paneer with Natrel (99.9%)lactose free milk for my wife, but it looks like the best I can hope for with other cheeses is 99.5% lactose free..so we're going to give some aged commercial brands a try-and have her take some probiotics as insurance.....

As for the dog food....let me know if you start on the home made, and I'll try to steer you right....

Martin
