Post Seeking info for thesis topic

I am looking for information, either through stories, links, books, etc of women's positive roles in the home kitchen, i.e. not only providing quality food, but as family historian, guardian of right vs wrong, community builder. An example: I learned my family's history, and general rules of conduct through my grandmother and her work in the kitchen. As I watched her make kolache, she would tell me stories, teach me lessons that I use to this day. Not only was she available for the family, her role in cooking for friends and neighbors helped increase the sense of community in my town. Please send me any info you have on this important topic. Thanks!
