Default Hi Everyone

I am new to this board and have been poking around a little. I love to cook and only can dream of being a pro chef. I will have to settle for sugar artist in progress. I design wedding cakes and I love it. I love making gum paste flowers and hand modeling pieces. I take classes as often as I can and participate in the Internation Cake Exploration Society. I am the president of the local cake club.

On a personal note I am married, have 3 children, on DIL and a grandson. My middle son was the head cook at a local family owned restaurant and wants to be a chef. I hope to see my son become a chef some day.

Denise

Hi QOS,

Seems you've got some very reachable goals for yourself and your boy.
Good luck with the cakes. Sounds like a passion.
Why dont you post some pics and let us see what ur up to
All the best

Am I doing something wrong?! I am trying to upload photos and I click on the upload link and nothing happens!

I use a MacBook Pro and sometimes certain things don't pop up!

Denise, your membership is too new; the system won't permit it just yet. (The administrator had to do this because we were getting attacked with some awful, inappropriate stuff ) Once you've reached 15 posts, you should be able to post. Please let us know if you have any difficulties- we speak both PC and Mac!

I'd like to welcome you to the community, and hope that, as soon as you can, you post photos of your work. We have some good sugar and pastry work in the gallery, and some of our members also have links to their own sites. You'll see some award-winning work here, and meet people who are happy to discuss and exchange ideas with you. That's what makes Chef Talk the best site for everyone who's a food-lover.

Welcome!
Mezzaluna

Hi everyone. Live in Breaux Bridge, La. and I love to cook, mostly cajun foods. Happy to be on board and learn from other home cooks. I have participated in several cooking contests, such as Crawfish, Wild Rabbit, Deer, and several other cajun dishes...won some, lost some of the contests. Waiting to hear from you.

Hello Jimmy! Have a look around and dive into the mix. There's a lot of information here, but also some great people to interact with.

Let us know if you have any questions about the site. Try using the search tool- you'll probably find some others making Cajun food and dishes with game.

Welcome! Enjoy being part of the community.
Regards,
Mezzaluna

Woo Hoo Jimmy you are probably related to my hubby - he is a Cajun boy and his mother's family is from Breaux Bridge.

I cooked gumbo tonight...nothing better than terrific Cajun food!
