No Smile Yet another newbie

hello everyone,

I just thought I'd introduce myself. I registered several days ago and have been having a wonderful time lurking and reading all the posts. This is a terrific site.

I am not a professional but do share with you a life-long love of growing, preparing, serving, and eating good food. Perhaps one day I'll be brave enough to post a question

til then

I have a question already, foxglove:

Where are you from, and what do you do? Just curious.

(PS- You get extra points if you're from CT)

Welcome foxglove, and love your name.

Foxgloves grow everywhere around my yard, can hardly wait til they bloom this year.

Welcome to the Cafe, Foxglove. I'm trying to learn more about pastries and desserts, so I'll watch for your posts.

Momoreg, no points for me! I live in a suburb of Vancouver in Canada.

I recently shut down my technical writing career and now call myself a retired person. I wanted to devote more time another love, gardening.

I am making my daughter's wedding cake, a genoise with buttercream. I've a couple of questions but will post them in the proper place.
